There is an increased demand for specialised training of security personnel,
demonstrated by the 2006 shopping centre security survey which recorded that
"There was a big leap – up 43% - in training for the use of defibrillators,
medical equipment which is used in cases of suspected heart attacks". Forty
per cent of those questioned said specific training was being given to their
security teams in this area. This could explain the decline in the number of
centre managers citing heart attack victims as one of their main concerns,
down to 17% from 28% two years ago." (Infologue.com - 2 May 2006). Our
